Angela’s passion for fitness turned into something much more after two years of training with Bernie. With 17 years of dance experience and as captain of her cheerleading squad, she has always lived an active life. Now, she aspires to create an environment empowering others to find their motivation to become their best self. In her free time and as a mother of two, she enjoys giving back to the community.

Melissa’s love for movement and fitness began at a young age as a competitive dancer. In college, that focus shifted to nutrition, as she began to understand its importance in performance. She has spent more than a decade in the fitness industry as a group exercise instructor, small group trainer, and a one on one total wellness coach. Melissa has competed in Bodybuilding competitions in the Bikini category. She is the owner of True Meal Prep, started to help her clients to stick to their meal plans. Most recently she has developed a Personal Training app, allowing her clients to have their exercise programs with them at all times. She has experience training all fitness levels, from athletes to those just starting their fitness journey. Whatever your goal is, she will map out a plan to get there together and have a ton of fun doing it.

Aaron is a Towson University graduate with bachelors in Exercise Science. He is a former competitive amateur boxer, licensed boxing instructor, Cross-Fit coach, NPC classic physique competitor, and certified personal trainer. He has committed his life to helping others and is fully invested in his clients as he guides them in maximizing their potential and exceeding their goals.

Bernie has committed his life to helping others. He also has a long history in athletics- playing football for over 20 years, he understands the benefit of hard consistent effort. He has been a successful personal trainer for over 4 years training various clients; from first-time gym users to professional athletes. He has the uncanny ability to discern the client need and create a special workout modality to address that area. He also teaches a hybrid form of combat training combining Traditional Boxing with Muy Thai and Kickboxing; producing a high-intensity workout that members love! From being a bootcamp specialist to developing athletes for collegiate play and beyond; Bernie’s desire to help people achieve their best drives him to deliver the highest quality training experience in the industry!

I know when you aren’t working even when my back is turned.

Guilty pleasure:
I could honestly eat an entire large pizza by myself- and would do that every week!

My Philosophy: If you have a body, you are an athlete.

Growing up involved in competitive sports, from softball to soccer, I still struggled with being overweight. It wasn’t until years later, after making serious nutritional changes that I saw progress with my performance and overall appearance. From playing competitive sports to shifting into competing as an NPC women’s physique athlete, I take great passion in helping others achieve their fullest potential through proper nutrition and strength training. With six years of personal training experience, working with a wide range of clientele, from over the age of 60 to 16-year-old baseball athletes. I have a passion for changing the lives of my clients, and for educating others on the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices.

Jolene has been a certified NASM Personal Trainer since 2017 and a Group Fitness Instructor (Les Mills GRIT Coach).She also recently received her 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200). She was drawn into the fitness industry about 5 years ago after the sudden loss of her mother and has a passion to share her love of fitness with others. Training and teaching fitness classes put her in her happy place.

Trevor has been a professional trainer for the past 7 years. He was a former Division I Football player and had the opportunity to try out for the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens. He specializes in Sports Performance Training which includes:
Speed and Agility, Strength and Conditioning, Weightlifting, Plyometric, Functional Training and much more!
Trevor currently coaches football at Dundalk High School and wrestling at Patterson High School.

I SEE Everything! No getting away with skipping reps or sets with me!

Angela is passionate about fitness and her mission is to empower others to reach their full fitness potential. Her personal fitness journey is ever-evolving and her goal is to inspire others with her experience and knowledge. She is a NASM certified personal trainer specializing in strength training and HIIT cardio, and with a Barre certification, she has a well-rounded approach. Whether you are new to fitness or have been “in it” for years, she will work closely with you to develop and reach your personal fitness goals.

Katie Gruzs

Katie has over 25 years of dance experience and has taught in the Baltimore area for over 15 years. She has studied hip-hop, ballroom, ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and lyrical with renowned teachers and performers, and received over three years of private instruction on International Standard and Latin ballroom dances with a U.S. & World Professional 10-Dance Champion. Katie is the sole proprietor of Socially Danceable which provides lessons in the foundations of ballroom and other forms of social dancing. Katie’s background in dance made her fall in love with the ZUMBA Fitness platform. As a Zumba Fitness instructor since 2012, she has developed a passion for providing group fitness classes, and is excited about her continued training in the fitness arena. Whether through dance or fitness, Katie focuses on instilling the fundamentals, benefits, and joy of movement to all of her clients regardless of ability!

Julie has been teaching Barre and Balletone since 2016. She enjoys teaching dynamic sequences that help her clients feel strong, graceful, and elegant as they build muscular endurance and core strength. In addition, Julie is certified in Reformer 1 and looks forward to continuing her education in the field of Pilates.

SHANNEN LEBRUN

Barre Instructor

Shannen grew up in Baltimore and began her dance training at the age of 8. She has trained in the styles of ballet, tap, jazz, modern and some hip hop at Royal Performing Arts Center in Dundalk, MD. She went to high school for dance as well and was selected to be in Patapsco High School’s Dance Company. Shannen attended Towson University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. She began to teach for her dance studio while in college and started to fall in love with this other side of dancing. It was that love for teaching and dancing that propelled her to become a Zumba Instructor and later a Baltimore Barre Instructor. Whether it is teaching dance classes or group fitness classes, Shannen wants her students to experience the same joy that she feels from moving the body. She aims to bring fun and excitement to each class so her students can walk out with their heads held high and a smile on their faces!

Ben has a long history with athletics and strength training. He played football at the University of Delaware from 2011-2015. He ended his collegiate career as a two-time all-conference player and was an all-American his senior year. Since, he’s has had stints with the Philadelphia Eagles (NFL), the Calgary Stampeders (CFL) and the Washington valor (AFL). His passion for personal training began in 2012, where he began training himself and his peers in powerlifting. Ben’s current training style focuses on weightlifting, functional training and conditioning. His goal is to help people find the most efficient way to reach their goals and push them along the way as they continue on their journey.

Sage became a certified personal trainer October of 2016 through the American Council of Exercise A.C.E. Having always had a passion for sports, and fitness through his participation in various programs including, soccer, basketball, as well as track and field. He found it extremely rewarding in helping others no matter the age in achieving their fitness goals. Sage is also a class instructor for the Box Master program, a small group boxing class that uses combinations, and other self-defense techniques combined with rounds of interval exercises, created by former boxer Rai Fazio. Sage also holds a fitness nutrition specialist title through A.C.E as well.
